"I can't even put my shoes on. I have to stretch (my leg out straight) to tie my shoes," Mora said. "I don't want to have surgery or something and blow my (hamstring). We'll see how it feels Friday or Saturday."

Mora aggravated his strained left hamstring when running out a ball in Toronto last week.

Mora has just 27 at-bats in September, batting .259 with one extra-base hit. For the season, Mora is hitting .282 with 23 home runs and 102 RBIs in 132 games.

For the last week, though, Mora has been hesitant to play at anything less than full strength, unwilling to risk his career, or the well being of his ballclub.

"I've been hitting balls that should have been a hit, and I didn't make it to first base, so I hurt myself and I hurt my career," Mora said. "I don't think it's fair when you go out there and play third base for a guy who's pitching a good game and you're not able to catch the ball or play good defense behind him. It's not fair."
