--3B Melvin Mora did not play Wednesday night and was listed as "self limited" on the Orioles' injury list. Mora isn't sure if he will be able to play again in the season's final weekend.
--RHP Daniel Cabrera will get a second opinion on his right elbow, manager Dave Trembley said. Cabrera will visit a doctor in Miami to determine the root of his elbow discomfort, which put him out for the season Sept. 19. --RHP Dennis Sarfate will undergo surgery on his right shoulder Sept. 30. Sarfate suffered a right distal clavicle fracture in a non-baseball activity in April, and he was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sept. 17.
--LHP Chris Waters will start Friday's series opener against Toronto. Waters will look to even his record at 4-4 and lower his 5.06 ERA in his final start of the season.
--RF Nick Markakis recorded his American League-leading 17th outfield assist Wednesday night. Markakis gunned down Rays C Dioner Navarro, who was trying to stretch a single into a double, to end the eighth inning.
