--RHP Jim Miller, who has a torn tendon in his right shoulder, will not do any upper-body workouts until mid-November at the earliest. Miller, who was promoted from Class AAA Norfolk when rosters expanded Sept. 1, injured his right shoulder warming up in the bullpen Sept. 23.
--RHP Jim Johnson, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sept. 1, is likely to remain a reliever in 2009. Manager Dave Trembley said Sunday morning that his eighth-inning specialist probably will not be turned into a starter in spring training.
--2B Brian Roberts left the final game after being hit by a Jesse Litsch offering in the sixth inning. Roberts took the pitch off the right shin and was replaced by pinch runner Alex Cintron, who scored the Orioles' lone run. Manager Dave Trembley said Roberts was fine after the game.
BY THE NUMBERS: 10 -- Consecutive losses for the Orioles prior to their win on the next to last day of the season. It was their longest losing streak since they dropped 14 in a row in 2004.
