--LHP George Sherrill might have earned his easiest save of the year Wednesday. The Orioles bullpen allowed a 7-1 lead to be cut to 7-5, and Sherrill needed only five pitches to record the final out.
--RHP Adam Eaton was selected as the Orioles' No. 5 starter, but he won't open the season in Baltimore. Eaton, who is not on the 40-man roster, will pitch at extended spring training in Sarasota, Fla., until he is needed. Until that time, probably around April 11 according to the Baltimore Sun, RHP Brian Bass will stay on the 25-man roster as a long reliever. --LHP Jamie Walker spent much of spring training working with former Orioles pitcher Mike Cuellar. According to MASNsports.com, Walker adjusted his changeup and picked up a screwball while working with Cuellar.
