--RHP Brad Bergesen will be recalled to make Tuesday's start against the White Sox, according to the Baltimore Sun. Bergesen, 23, gets the nod over Class-AAA Norfolk teammate Chris Waters after opening the season 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA with nine strikeouts against three walks in 11 innings.
--RHP Radhames Liz is the odds-on favorite to be demoted when RHP Brad Bergesen is recalled, the Baltimore Sun suggested. Liz, 25, was promoted from Class-AAA Norfolk on April 15 only to be shelled that night, giving up five hits and four earned runs in one inning. BY THE NUMBERS: 14 -- Players who have played in 1,000 games in an Orioles uniform. 2B Brian Roberts will become No. 15 when he reaches the milestone. He entered the week needing 12 more appearances.
