--OF/INF Ryan Freel is expected to begin his rehab assignment at Class-A Delmarva on Monday. Freel, on the disabled list with a head injury, is not eligible to come off the disabled list until May 6.

--LHP Rich Hill was pleased with his first rehab start, calling it a "really good performance." The former Cubs prospect threw three innings, allowing one run with three strikeouts with Class-A Frederick. Hill is likely to pitch at Class-AAA Norfolk on Wednesday, and manager Dave Trembley needs Hill to throw 90 pitches before he returns to Baltimore.

--3B Melvin Mora will go on a rehab assignment Tuesday or Wednesday for one game and will play in the Orioles' series-opener in Toronto on Friday. Mora, who is currently on the disabled list with a sore hamstring, will either play at Class-A Delmarva or Class-AAA Norfolk.

BY THE NUMBERS: 27 -- Consecutive games, through Sunday, in which Nick Markakis had reached base. Markakis had a 13-game hit streak entering the final game of the team's series with Texas.
