--LHP Jamie Walker was activated from his rehab assignment, after throwing a scoreless inning at Class A Frederick Saturday. Walker (left elbow inflammation) has been out since June 26.
--RHP Radhames Liz was optioned to Class AAA Norfolk after Sunday's game, to make room for LHP Jamie Walker. Manager Dave Trembley, who will use Thursday's off day to fill Liz's spot in the rotation, hopes the 25-year-old can straighten out his command issues and return for good. --2B Brian Roberts was given Sunday off. Roberts, who leads the American League with 38 doubles and eight triples, was 7-for-40 on the homestand and 0-for-8 against the Angels. Roberts needs just one double to reached No. 250 for his career.
--3B Melvin Mora was not in the lineup Sunday. The veteran was hit behind the left knee by a Darren Oliver pitch Saturday night, and was experiencing some swelling Sunday morning.
--C Ramon Hernandez was not in the lineup Sunday. Hernandez typically gets afternoon games off, with backup Guillermo Quiroz filling in. Hernandez entered Sunday needing just one hit for 1,000 in his career.
