--OF Lou Montanez will finish the season getting some at-bats with Class A Frederick but will not rejoin the major league team. Montanez has been out since May with a thumb injury that required surgery.

MEDICAL WATCH:

CF Adam Jones (sprained left ankle) left the Sept. 1 game and hasn't played since. He will miss at least two weeks.

RHP Koji Uehera (right elbow tendinitis) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to June 24. He will throw off the mound Aug. 31 for the first time since beginning his throwing program. He could be activated in September.

RHP Brad Bergesen (left leg contusion) went on the 15-day disabled list July 31. He will not pitch again this season.

OF Lou Montanez (torn ligament in right thumb) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 23. He had surgery May 26, and he will not return to the majors this season.

LHP Rich Hill (torn labrum in left shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to July 28, and he was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Sept. 1. He had season-ending surgery Aug. 7.

RHP Alfredo Simon (sore right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list April 15, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on July 29. He had season-ending Tommy John surgery in early May.
