--RHP Brad Bergesen could be earmarked for his big-league debut soon. With RHP Alfredo Simon out for a long stretch, the Orioles are more likely to lean on a prospect early, and Bergesen is the closest to being ready. Bergesen has a 2.45 ERA for Class AAA Norfolk after beating Charlotte on Wednesday.

--C Chad Moeller has caught three games in 2009, and the Orioles have lost each of them. But Moeller, who is on the roster for his veteran presence alone, can't be faulted. The veteran journeyman is batting .364 with a home run in 11 at-bats.
