--CF Adam Jones left after his first at-bat Sunday, jogging gingerly to the dugout after grounding out. Jones' right hamstring has been sore, and he was removed in favor of Felix Pie.

--INF Ty Wigginton drove in the Orioles' only run Sunday, knocking in Nick Markakis on a ninth-inning grounder. Wigginton will see the starter's share of at-bats while Melvin Mora is on the disabled list, and often he'll bat fifth behind a potent top four.

--C Matt Wieters, the Orioles' top prospect, was pulled from Friday's game between Class AAA Norfolk and the Atlanta Braves' affiliate because of a cramp in his right hamstring. Orioles president of baseball operations Andy MacPhail told the Baltimore Sun that the prized 22-year-old is "day-to-day." Barring any lingering issues, Wieters, who did not play Sunday, should be in Baltimore by mid-June.

MEDICAL WATCH:

RHP Alfredo Simon (sore right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list April 15. He has a "degenerative issue," according to manager Dave Trembley, and he will be sidelined indefinitely.

3B Melvin Mora (left hamstring strain) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 13.

LHP Rich Hill (left elbow soreness) went on the 15-day disabled list March 29. He was scheduled to pitch in extended spring training on April 17 and April 19.
