--LHP Rich Hill will make his first rehab appearance Friday with high Class A Frederick. Battling back from arm fatigue, Hill will be held to 60-65 pitches, according to The Sun.

--OF Adam Jones returned to the Orioles lineup Wednesday for the first time since leaving Sunday's game with a tight hamstring. Jones went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in his first action, and he played the entire game.

--Class AAA Norfolk C Matt Wieters was held out of Wednesday's game. It was the fourth straight game a hamstring injury held the top prospect out of action, but according to The Sun, Wieters should return to the field Thursday.

MEDICAL WATCH:

CF Adam Jones (right hamstring tightness) did not play April 20-21. He returned to the lineup April 22.

OF/INF Ryan Freel (head) went on the 15-day disabled list April 21 after being hit in the head by a pickoff throw the previous day.

RHP Alfredo Simon (sore right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list April 15. He will have season-ending Tommy John surgery in late April.

3B Melvin Mora (left hamstring strain) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 13.

LHP Rich Hill (left elbow soreness) went on the 15-day disabled list March 29. He was pitching in extended spring training in mid-April, and he will begin a rehab assignment with Class A Frederick on April 24.
