--C Gregg Zaun put together his first three-hit game of the year, going 3-for-3 to raise his average to .192. Zaun is 8-for-19 in his last six games.

--RHP Dennis Sarfate will undergo an angiogram Friday morning, hoping to find the cause of numbness in his right middle finger. The team hopes to have the results by the weekend.

MEDICAL WATCH:

OF Lou Montanez (sore right thumb) was injured making a catch May 2 and sat out May 3-6. He started May 7.

RHP Dennis Sarfate (numbness in right middle finger) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 2. He will have an angiogram May 8.

OF/INF Ryan Freel (head) went on the 15-day disabled list April 21 after being hit in the head by a pickoff throw the previous day. He began a rehab assignment with Class AA Bowie on May 1, but he did not appear as scheduled May 7. Team president Andy MacPhail said the team would reassess Freel's status.

RHP Alfredo Simon (sore right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list April 15. He had season-ending Tommy John surgery in early May.

LHP Rich Hill (left elbow soreness) went on the 15-day disabled list March 29. He began a rehab assignment with Class A Frederick on April 24.
