--OF/DH Luke Scott left Sunday's game with a bruised left shoulder, suffered while diving back to first base after singling in his first at-bat. Scott, who was replaced by Ty Wigginton, said after the game that he "hyperextended" a rotator cuff muscle and was unable to swing a bat or lift his arm. He wore a sling and will go for an MRI on Monday's off-day.
--OF Lou Montanez hit his first home run of the season Saturday night in a season-high 12-run attack. But Montanez also aggravated his injured right thumb Saturday night and was replaced in left field by Felix Pie. --C Chad Moeller was given some praise before the game by manager Dave Trembley, but it seems as if he'll be playing elsewhere within the next month. Trembley shot down the idea the Orioles would carry three catchers upon the promotion of top prospect Matt Wieters, due sometime in the next month.
MEDICAL WATCH:
OF Luke Scott (sore left rotator cuff) left the May 10 game and will have an MRI taken on May 11.
RHP Dennis Sarfate (torn artery in right shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 2. He might be able to return around the All-Star break.
RHP Alfredo Simon (sore right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list April 15. He had season-ending Tommy John surgery in early May.
LHP Rich Hill (left elbow soreness) went on the 15-day disabled list March 29. He began a rehab assignment with Class A Frederick on April 24.
