--LHP Rich Hill threw a side session Tuesday afternoon on the heels of six strong innings of rehab Sunday. Hill possibly could start Saturday in Kansas City should he be activated, which depends on how he feels Wednesday after Tuesday's side session.
--OF Felix Pie left Tuesday's game after three innings with a stomach ailment. It was simply the latest minor hiccup in what has been a tough start to his Orioles career. --RHP Brian Bass earned two saves Tuesday, and neither appeared in the box score. Bass saved the bullpen -- and perhaps a demotion to the minor leagues -- with four shutout innings of relief of LHP Mark Hendrickson.
MEDICAL WATCH:
DH Luke Scott (left rotator cuff sprain) left the May 10 game, and he didn't play May 12. He might return during the May 14-17 series at Kansas City.
LHP Rich Hill (left elbow soreness) went on the 15-day disabled list March 29. He made the first of four minor league rehab starts on April 24, and he might be activated May 16.
RHP Dennis Sarfate (torn artery in right shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 2. He might be able to return around the All-Star break.
RHP Alfredo Simon (sore right elbow) went on the 15-day disabled list April 15. He had season-ending Tommy John surgery in early May.
